APRICOTPRUNUS ARMENIACA
Pliny and Columella mentioned it in the first century AD under the name of Armeniaca implying its introduction from Armenia Major to Italy. The Arabs later cultivated it through the Mediterranean region, and it has been grown in English gardens since the fifteenth century, and possibly before. | |
